Air Pegasus - Regional startup airlines - Air Pegasus and Turbo Megha are working towards their AOP. Bangalore based Pegasus received its first Aircraft - an ATR 72-500 that previously flew for Kingfisher airlines. Both are expected to be ATR 72- 500 only operators for the short term atleast. Chennai based Premier Airways, which has sufficient funding and obtained its NOC in July 2014, plans to start operations with Airbus - 320 aircraft.
